Dream team becoming a nightmare
The US basketball team was soundly beaten by Puerto Rico today. Good. I relish seeing arrogant, spoiled "professionals" get their commupance. I think the whole "Dream Team" thing is pretty embarassing. Maybe now the American NBA players will stop being such cocky dillweeds and check their egos a little.

It all stems from the first "dream team." We went out and schooled the world. Since then the international teams have been learning and playing super solid basketball while the NBA continues it de-evolution into super-star, single player crap except for the Pistons this year. They had the team work down and no major stars, amazing and look who the coach is for Team USA, same guy but now he's got these "stars" (all second-tier btw) that aren't working well together and the zone play from the other teams is schooling them. Just look at Lithuania in the 2000 Olypmics, near perfect play and the US just barely squeaked by. Thanks Michael Jordan, your legacy lives on!
