If I Could Smell Her ....

This is one of the most disturbingly funny things I've seen in quite some time. It's SILENCE! Silence of the Lambs: The Musical. While I don't think it's intended to be anything but a joke -- the two composers are recent flim composing school grads probably just trying to make a name for themselves -- the music is actually pretty good if you're into that sort of thing. For the overture, they did a great job re-interpreting Howard Shore's original score as a happy, joyous piece. Check out their MP3's.

Brilliant, just brilliant.

This is so weird Chris. The movie has been on one of the cable channels just about everyday for the past month. I have watched it over and over. I really grew to like this film more and more-it is rather excellent. What's even better is that I finally tracked down the "Buffalo Bill c**k-tuck song" via limewire. It's called "Goodbye Horses" by Q Lazarus. Apparently Demme used it in Married to the Mob as well, but the version in Lambs is an extended remix. currently it is only available through MP3 trading or on a new euro compilation called, Retro-Active 2. Most likely Q was a friend of Demme's. she is a NYer and prob just a session singer that put out a few singles. she apparently also sang on some Talking Heads stuff. About to listen to the musical mp3s.... the titles alone are great.
