Python

I'm gonna have to geek out for a second here. I've finally needed to bite the bullet and start using python at work. So far, I'm mighty impressed except for the odd fact that whitespace matters (which has bitten me once already). It offers a ton of higher-level design options and the plain-er language makes code so much easier to read (and therefore write) than perl. They even have good documentation (not that perl doesn't, mind). Now, if I could just get my xemacs configs set up the way I like them....

mmmm, python. welcome to my world. sometimes the lack of being able to put braces to make sure things are enclosed is a real pain sometimes. I do like the object oriented nature of it all though, that part is definately much better than perl. I will still hold a special place for perl, but python's just another good tool to have around.

Now, imagine writing python embedded in HTML that is generating javascript code on the fly. Weeee! I'm so looking forward to this weekend.

you guys are nutty.
i cannot even configure style sheets...
php shtml i know there's another one...
i need go live...if someone scores me go live for OS X, i promise to mail you a geeked out post to your journal.

i wish i knew more about this stuff...i'm a loser on this front....perl....all i know is that i need that and mysql for these MType thingees. i have one floating out in deep space...never used it.

oh yeah by the way, HIIIIIIIII!

hehe, geek and proud. I can honestly say that I used an HTML editor once. Now I hand code all my HTML and CSS. All of it. the tweaking, the layout, the contet. I eat it up....until the project gets to boring the crap out of me. but hey, that's a conversation for another time.

Wow dMal... weird timing on the python post... i am just seeing this today.
